There were initially 20 planned Apollo missions, but the final three missions were cancelled since it was decided that the Moon landing itself was more significant than the technological and research missions.

Sunday; Revenge-day ,Pakistan vs India match

But right after 7 days, Pakistan got a golden chance to take revenge. And when both teams walked down the pavilion for toss. Hopes were high, heart were raging and fingers were crossed, but a sigh of relief was taken by Pakistanis when we won the toss and Babar chose to field. And every Pakistani hoped and prayed for revenge

Fall of Indian Batting

Indian batting spell was really strong in the initial inning and made fastest fifty in power play with zero wickets in hand. Pakistanis kind of lost confidence and predicted the score to cross 200, but shadab with his bowling knocked off Rohit Sharma on 54. And after the loss of 1 wicket, blue shirts lost the team balance and green shirts blew the batting line and only with the kohli’s sensible batting and misfielding by Fakhar Zaman in last overs which benefited India and they managed to give a target of 181 with the loss of 7 wickets along with 14 extras

The problem arises every year at a low and high level, but why in all these years, has there not been a proper disaster management and governance to handle natural disasters? Whether tremors or floods, in the end, the people of Pakistan have to pay the price by losing their land and lives. 2010 Flood; Impact on Pakistan

Torrential Rainfall has unleashed devastation all across the country, leading to the crisis of human existence and infrastructure damage. As per the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the floods have caused overall damage and death of 937 individuals, a long way since mid-June 2022. The number has increased now, with 1,033 deaths along with other damages, the NDMA said on Sunday.

The flood water has seriously affected the areas of Sindh, South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtun Khw, and Balochistan.

Floods have struck Balochistan the most, as 3/4^th of the province is underwater, with no visible sight of any remaining infrastructure. Officials in Balochistan believe that more than 40,000 homes were devastated by the floods, and 22,000 of them are completely demolished. In the province, harvests covering about 700,000 acres were destroyed. According to the them, the floodwaters have caused cumulative damage of $10 million thus far. The rain spell in Khyber Pakhtun Kha made the Kabul River overflow, clearing away a huge extensive substructure, few regions were left with no connection with other regions and affecting Afghanistan as well.

According to a report published by NDMA on 29^th August, 2022, till date, a total of 105, 1570 houses are damaged, loss of 735,375 livestock has left the influence on 33,046,329 people.

The country’s climate management officially described the scenario as a “climate-induced humanitarian calamity of epic magnitudes” due to Pakistan’s unprecedented seasonal rainfall and flooding.

Is Environmental Change a Reason for Floods?

Official authorities agree that environmental change is the primary explanation for these abrupt weather conditions, which have caused the dissolution of ice sheets and snow caps, and downpours in various regions of the country. Because of the quickly softening of ice sheets and uncommon rainfalls, the water levels in streams and dams are rising at an alarming level. Another man told international news that his little girl had been cleared away by an overflowed waterway.

“She told me: Baba, I’m going to gather leaves for my goat,” Muhammad Fareed, who lives in the Kaghan Valley, in the northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa territory said that she went to the bank of the stream and a spout of water followed and took her away from him.

Losing toss, losing the Match

We all lost the hope in match when Pakistan lost the toss and India elected to field first. It was nerve wrecking as we know how tough the pitch was and the way our team plays under pressure. Still, gave ourselves some hope but our hearts broke when our batsman Babar Azam was sent back to the pavilion in early overs with only a score of 10 over 9 balls.

Regaining of faith

We all glued ourselves to the TV screens when Muhammad Rizwan came in form and made 43 scores over 42 balls with fall of wickets but as soon as Rizwan got a catch out, by Avesh Khan, there was a sudden fall of wickets and predictability of Pakistan winning, became zero.

Many cricket fans lost the hope and stopped watching the match. Some people prayed while some gave unsolicited advices and rantings over the match. With no wickets left behind and low chase, batsmen got under pressure. But an angel came in the form of Dahani Shah Nawaz and won our hearts once again. He made 16 runs over 6 balls and Pakistan in total, gave a target of 147.

Pakistanis felt the loss of Shaheen Afridi and Muhammad Amir, yet disregarding that, team actually showed extraordinary perseverance and seem to be a competitive and tough group to keep an eye out until the end of Asia Cup.

India; A Win, not victory

India no doubt won the match but that was not an easy win for them. Pakistani bowlers gave them a really stimulating spell. The Indian dream of wining with 10 wickets was crushed when Naseem Shah; the beauty, took wicket of KL Rahul on the very first ball and turned the chances into 50/50.
