The Need for Program

According to the plan, the district would be subject to general “Tourism Services Rules,” which will also govern security measures, car inspections, and round-the-clock snow removal. To promote tourism, Kaghan-style rules are also being used in Murree.

The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench is also anticipated to release its most significant ruling in the case involving the Murree disaster from January of this year during the legal week beginning on October 31.

Winters 2022

The first ten days of November mark the beginning of Murree’s winter tourism season, which peaks from December 1st to February 28th. From December 25th to February 28th, a record number of snow enthusiasts visit Murree.

Safety Precautions

During the snowy season, the traffic police will not permit more than the designated number of vehicles to enter Murree, and beyond 17 miles of the Toll Plaza, no vehicle will be permitted to enter the district regardless of the number that the district administration and traffic police officers may decide.

The parking spaces set up in Murree can accommodate 4,200 automobiles in accordance with regulatory requirements. Problems arise when the remaining vehicles are parked in nearby alleyways on the side of the road.

Five snow removal vehicles will be on the job around-the-clock throughout the snowstorm, and relevant chemicals have been purchased in sufficient quantities to clear the streets of snow. During the snowstorm, more personnel and vehicles will be deployed for snow removal.

Availability of Hotels In Vicinity

There are 215 small and large hotels in Murree overall, according to the report of the Rawalpindi deputy commissioner, and over 150 locals rent out their homes and common places. According to the tourism standard policy, there is a total of 24,239 tourist rooms available in hotels and guesthouses in the vicinity.

The rent will be set for both heated and non-heated hotel rooms. The additional deputy commissioner for Murree will keep an eye on hotel rents during the season.

Price Lists in Murree

For the purpose of tracking fares, the special branch of the police is subject to additional obligations. Each day, these teams will gather data on the rates from the staff at each hotel as well as from the families of visitors before reporting their findings to the relevant authorities.

Food prices will be fixed in all markets, and there will be distinct prices for each sort of entertainment. These prices and fees will be prominently displayed on banners with large print.

The installation of a price list will be required at all venues for entertainment, including lodging and food stands. Murree now has three police stations, up from one previously.
